QT: Geelong leads GWS by 13 points
By Hannah Kennelly
Phew, that’s the siren.
A fast-paced term of footy, but Geelong’s form looks pretty solid. Despite the string of early goals for the Cats, the Giants look to be bouncing back.
Geelong lead 4.2 (26) to GWS 2.1 (13).

Josh Kelly takes a hit to the head
By Hannah Kennelly
Yep, that’s blood. Giant’s Josh Kelly took a hit to the head with three minutes left of the first quarter.
The injury happened during a contest between Geelong’s Mark O’Connor and Kelly. Looks like O’Connor’s arm has whacked Kelly and there’s now a cut above his eye.
The camera cuts to Kelly a few minutes later and it looks like he’s being bandaged up.

By Hannah Kennelly
GWS have amped up their pressure, aided by that important goal from Callum Brown in the left forward pocket. Jake Stringer follows it up with another for the Giants.
There is now a 13-point margin.

Giants struggle as Cats boost lead
By Hannah Kennelly
This is a pretty impressive start from the visiting team and GWS are faltering under the pressure.
The Cats are funnelling the ball forward seamlessly and have put another goal on the scoreboard, thanks to Jeremy Cameron.
GWS finally manage to get on the scoreboard, but Geelong answers with another goal.

FINAL: Victory for Adelaide
They Crows hang on. They were never really threatened by the Bulldogs spurt. An impressive Adelaide victory. They made a statement today. The Crows are ahead of the Dogs in the flag pecking order.
FT: Adelaide Crows 16.13 (109) d. Western Bulldogs 15.8 (98)

Goal: An extremely late one
Bulldog James O’Donnell with a quality roost. Great work on his left foot, nearly at the 50-metre arc. Margin cut to 11 points. But time will beat them.

Goal: Dog Darcy with a second …
Well into time-on … and Sam Darcy shows his agility with a classy second goal. The margin has been cut to less than three goals. But I’ll say it again – the clock will beat the Bulldogs.
Adelaide Crows 16.12 (108) lead Western Bulldogs 14.8 (92)
