The Summer I Turned Pretty fans have been left divided over who Belly should be with

The Summer I Turned Pretty enthusiasts have been left utterly smitten following the most recent episode of the YA Amazon Prime Video series, which featured narration by Conrad Fisher (played by Christopher Briney) as he laid bare his emotions to viewers regarding his feelings for Belly Conklin (Lola Tung), after audiences had previously speculated about the programme’s ultimate conclusion, reports the Mirror.
The episode entitled Last Dance witnessed Conrad gallantly assisting Belly with the upcoming wedding preparations whilst Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) remained stranded in New York during part of the July 4 weekend.
A flashback also revealed Belly and Conrad sharing a tender moment, marking their final encounter before he brought their relationship to an end.
During the episode, Conrad voiced his remorse about allowing her to slip away whilst attempting to support his younger sibling following a deathbed vow made to his mother Susannah Fisher (Rachel Blanchard).
Numerous supporters are now passionately arguing over which Fisher brother would be Belly’s perfect match.
Speaking exclusively to Reach Screen Time, relationship expert Gemma Nice discussed Conrad’s positive qualities that position him as Belly’s perfect companion.

Nice described Conrad’s positive attributes as “undeniable” and proceeded to highlight how he had remained unattached for four years following his split from Belly. Furthermore, Conrad “openly admits that she is the only person he has ever truly loved”, whilst Jeremiah betrayed Belly twice following their row about spring break.
Nice continued: “Throughout the series, Conrad consistently shows that he listens to her and pays attention to details in ways Jeremiah does not.
“In series one, he chose an infinity necklace in silver, Belly’s preferred colour, while Jeremiah overlooked this detail with her [engagement] ring.”

During series two, whilst having a chat with Jeremiah in the shop, Conrad recalled that she would enjoy sour sweets and favours this over Swedish Fish which Jeremiah selected for her, demonstrating his attentiveness.
“Most recently, in series three, after overhearing her crying, he baked her favourite cakes to comfort her. These moments highlight Conrad’s unwavering thoughtfulness.”
Nice added: “Conrad puts the happiness of the love of his life first. In [a] recent episode, he even agreed to be his brother’s best man despite how painful it was for him, because he knew it would make Belly happy after seeing her cry about no one wanting the wedding between her and Jeremiah to go ahead.
“This contrasts with Jeremiah, who agreed that Belly should not go to Paris, a lifelong dream of hers, because he selfishly wanted her to stay at home.”
Viewers will need to continue watching to discover whether Conrad can conceal his emotions from Belly or if the truth will ultimately be revealed. Should Conrad decide to express his emotions, it could have significant repercussions for Belly and Jeremiah, who are set to tie the knot.
