A poll of 1,500 Harry Potter fans have revealed the 30 most iconic moments from the franchise – and some might surprise you.

Thee 30 most iconic Harry Potter moments have been revealed – with Harry’s first journey through the barrier at Platform 93⁄4 claiming the top spot. A survey of 1,500 devotees of the legendary series placed Voldemort’s downfall and Hagrid’s famous declaration, “You’re a wizard, Harry” in joint second place. The touching scene where Dobby was given a sock also ranked as a cherished moment amongst fans.
Harry secured his position as the most adored character in the series, with almost six in 10 selecting him. Hermione took second place, closely followed by Ron. Lord Voldemort managed to avoid the bottom as Dolores Umbridge seized the final position.

Research has revealed that, on average, a fan will watch one of the Harry Potter films three times a year despite the finale being released nearly 15 years ago.
A spokesperson for Krispy Kreme, which commissioned the research in conjunction with the launch of its limited-edition Harry Potter doughnuts, said: “Harry Potter means something different to everyone – whether it’s the house they feel most connected to, a character they admire, or even one they love to hate.
“It’s a story we’ve grown up with, and those personal connections are what keep fans coming back. Our latest range of Harry Potter doughnuts gives those fans the opportunity to feel that nostalgia again, and show their support for their own house, or to be sorted for the very first time.”

In celebration of the return to school, the new limited-edition doughnut range is inspired by the four Hogwarts Houses. There’s even a Sorting Hat doughnut, which will reveal your house when you take a bite.
The study, conducted with OnePoll.com, found Gryffindor was the favourite Hogwarts House for 44 per cent of Potter fans. However, more people relate to Hufflepuff’s kinder values than Gryffindor’s braver ones.
It was also revealed that fans would rather have an invisibility cloak than any other magical item.
Meanwhile, most fans would prefer Professor McGonagall as a teacher, and the Reparo spell – where you can repair broken objects with just a wave of a wand – was desired by 28 per cent of those polled.
