A global online gifting platform

While fnp.sg may feel like a fresh face in Singapore, the brand’s roots stretch much further back, all the way to 1994.
Originally founded as Ferns N Petals by Vikas Gutgutia, it began as a small, humble flower shop with a vision to make gifting more meaningful and accessible.
Over the years, it has grown into a global online gifting platform with a presence in more than 70 countries, expanding beyond florals to include cakes, plants, and personalised presents.
The company has achieved consistent double-digit growth year over year, and is also well-positioned to capitalise on a booming market, with the global gift retailing industry projected to expand by US$16.75 billion between 2025 and 2029, according to research firm Technavio.
That foundation set the stage for its Singapore debut in 2019. By then, although the online gifting giant had already tested itself in multiple markets, Singapore offered a different challenge.

While the city-state had no shortage of florists, both in malls and neighbourhood shops, what it lacked was reliable options for quick delivery.
Hence, fnp.sg’s solution was straightforward: build its Singapore proposition around rapid same-day delivery—often within 60 minutes—ensuring customers could send gifts and flowers at short notice without compromise.
That alone sets it apart from many local florists, which typically close same-day ordering by midday to cope with demand.
Our mission is to make heartfelt expression as simple as a few clicks, whether you plan in advance or need something delivered in the next hour.

Building a robust logistics network

Delivering on that promise, however, was not without its challenges. In the early days, reception was positive, but offering 60-minute fulfilment in a high-cost city came with logistical hurdles.
Driver availability was sometimes limited, which led to delays and some customer dissatisfaction. The company moved quickly to address these issues, strengthening its delivery network and building a more robust logistics and driver base to improve reliability.
Today, fnp.sg’s fulfillment network in Singapore is designed to balance speed with consistency. With a team of around 20 on-call staff, the company is able to efficiently manage high order volumes even during peak periods.
Popular products, such as classic bouquets, are prepared in small batches in advance, allowing them to be dispatched almost immediately once an order is placed.
Meanwhile, made-to-order items are handled by a team of florists and chefs trained to complete arrangements within 10 minutes, keeping wait times minimal.
As for drivers, they are stationed across key zones, ready to pick up orders as soon as they are prepared, while in-house routing technology assigns deliveries and optimises routes in real time, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
While fnp.sg’s robust logistics network allows for consistent 60-minute delivery, do note that some products are not available within that window. For these items, the brand commits to a two-hour delivery window, still providing customers with peace of mind for last-minute gifting.
Finding opportunity amid COVID-19

When fnp.sg first launched in Singapore, it was only fulfilling tens of orders a day. Now, the company handles hundreds of orders daily, with volumes surging into the thousands during peak occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Christmas.
Beyond having a robust logistics network, timing also played a critical role in the brand’s growth.
Launching during the COVID-19 pandemic, while challenging for many businesses, proved advantageous for fnp.sg. With social distancing making in-person connections difficult, gifting quickly became one of the few ways to show care and support for family and friends, which propelled the brand’s popularity.
With fnp.sg classified as an essential service at that time, it allowed the brand to continue operations even during the strictest phases of the pandemic. While many businesses had to pause, fnp.sg was able to step in and meet the surge in demand.
The company also expanded its assortment during this period. As opposed to many online florists that offer standard bouquets and generic gifts, it built a full-fledged ecosystem of celebration essentials designed to meet a wide range of gifting needs.
Its floral arrangements can be paired with freshly baked cakes, watches, fragrances, or themed gifts for events like graduations and baby showers. Some even take on playful, creative forms—such as this bouquet styled to look like a birthday cake.

The brand’s personalised offerings, including photo frames, handmade dessert boxes paired with engraved wooden keepsakes, and cartoon-style caricature gifts, have proven to be especially popular in Singapore’s market.
After all, it’s the personal touch that transforms a gift into something unforgettable. “Whether it’s for an anniversary or a colleague’s farewell, we help you say it your way,” shared the fnp.sg team.
Today, these cakes, hampers, and personalised gifts account for roughly half of the company’s business in Singapore.
A one-stop platform for celebrations
Ultimately, fnp.sg aims to position itself as a one-stop destination for celebrations in Singapore, catering to moments big and small with convenience and variety.

Moving forward, faster fulfillment will be a key focus. By decentralising inventory and forming local partnerships, fnp.sg is working toward 30-minute delivery, making last-minute gifting faster and more seamless.
In addition, the platform is looking to expand its gift range. Although its catalogue currently spans over 1,000 gifts, flowers, and cakes, growth has come from how these categories complement one another.
Customers rarely buy a bouquet alone; more often, they pair it with a cake, hamper, or personalised item. To create a complete gift experience, fnp.sg will explore new gifting categories in the next two to three years.
“Our vision has always been to go beyond just flowers,” said the team at fnp.sg. “We aim to be our customers’ celebration partner. Everything, from cakes to cushions, can be delivered together, in one seamless experience.”
With rising expectations for speed, quality, and personalisation in Singapore’s gifting scene, fnp.sg is keeping pace.
