8 of the best value weekly restaurant deals in Glasgow

From oyster happy hours to great-value steak frites, here are eight Glasgow restaurant deals to help you eat well without spending more.

West Side Tavern

162 Dumbarton Road

Visit this Italian-American-inspired watering hole and eatery in the West End on a Tuesday to take advantage of the popular ‘Parm Club’, which runs between 5 pm and 9 pm.

That means your choice of chicken, meatball or aubergine and a side of rigatoni alla vodka, spaghetti pomodoro or truffle and parmesan potatoes for just £12.

The team also runs a 2-4-1 offer on their pizzas on Mondays, if that’s more your style.

The Butchershop Bar & Grill

1055 Sauchiehall Street

A tense ‘battle’ wages each Tuesday at Buthchershop Bar & Grill, with diners asked to choose between meaty beef burgers in brioche buns and a dry-aged rump steak with melted garlic and mixed herb butter.

No matter which one is your winner, this deal for two offers great value, including two mains, skinny fries and a bottle of house wine to share for just £50.

Bier Halle

9 Gordon Street

A city centre institution, Bier Halle has been serving one of the largest collections of international and craft beers that Glasgow has to offer for over 25 years.

It’s not all about the drinks, though, with the kitchen also serving a range of hot dogs, loaded nachos, bar snacks, and more.

Save some pennies by taking advantage of their weekly 2-4-1 deals featuring pizza on Monday, nachos on Tuesday, and wings on Wednesday.

Cibo

509 Victoria Road

Book your table between 4 pm and 6 pm from Monday to Wednesday and make the most of this deal at Cibo.

The Victoria Road restaurant offers a pizza or pasta dish with a glass of wine, prosecco or beer for £15. Well worth a slightly earlier dinner time.

The Locale

241 North Street

Taco Tuesday, anyone?

Every week, this Charing Cross bar slashes the price of its tacos to just £1.50 each (3 per order), with fillings including beef quesabirria, chicken quesadobo or Cajun cauliflower.

Best enjoyed in their sizeable beer garden area with a £6 Marg, if the end of the summer season weather permits.

The Clarence

168 Hyndland Road

A sister venue to Brett, the Caravan Shop, and Michelin Star-awarded Cail Bruich, the Clarence offers a menu of hearty grub, including chicken Kyiv, beef cheek, oxtail and Guinness suet pudding or grilled lamb chops.

They earn a spot on this money-saving list thanks to their Oyster Happy Hours, which take place at various points throughout the week.

Drop in at the right time, and seize the chance to order freshly shucked shellfish for just £1.50 a pop.

Innis & Gunn

22 to 24 West Nile Street

This steak frites deal is sure to satisfy even the largest of appetites.

Priced at £19.95, both Innis & Gunn’s city centre and West End taprooms serve plates of chargrilled 35-day dry-aged Scottish steak, garlic butter fries, and steak sauce.

So what makes this value for money?

Included in the cost is a second serving of steak available at your request, as well as bottomless fries.

In their own words: “more is always more”.

Bloc+

117 Bath Street

No rundown of value deals in Glasgow would be complete without a mention of Bloc+, a Bath Street bar known for its daily special offers.

Highlights include Pasta Mondays with a choice of Cajun pasta or mac and cheese for £4, Hot Dogs and fries for £5 on Fridays, or perhaps best of all, a 6oz Scottish sirloin steak with fries for just £6 every Wednesday.
