Miranda Cosgrove is back on our screens in Netflix’s The Wrong Paris.
iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove takes on a character completely different from her Nickelodeon roots in Netflix’s fresh romantic comedy, The Wrong Paris.
The 32-year-old actress portrays Dawn, an ambitious young woman with dreams of studying art in Paris, France.
After securing a spot at her dream school, Dawn discovers she lacks the funds for a flight to France and devises a scheme to travel without cost.
She signs up for a reality dating programme filmed in Paris, intending to abandon the show immediately upon touching down in France.
But her plan goes awry when the programme whisks her off to Paris, Texas rather than her intended destination, reports the Mirror.

Miranda achieved fame through her portrayal of Carly Shay in Nickelodeon’s beloved sitcom, iCarly.
She appeared alongside Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress, who took on the roles of her closest companions Sam and Freddie.

Despite concluding nearly 13 years ago, the principal cast members have maintained their friendships.
Miranda recently spoke about their bond, sharing with People: “I’ll always love them [Jennette and Nathan], and they’ll always be family to me, because we grew up together for so many years.”

In 2016, a man set fire to himself before taking his own life with a gun in Miranda’s garden, whilst she was away from the property. It subsequently came to light that he had been stalking the television personality.
Miranda recounted the distressing experience in 2024, following Netflix’s Baby Reindeer becoming a popular discussion point.
Speaking to Bustle, she revealed that the incident resulted in her shunning her own residence. Rather, she would frequently stay at her parents’ property.
“I just don’t feel super safe in that house. For two years after it happened, I wouldn’t really stay there.
“Then I got into a relationship and because that person was there with me, I was less scared. But I don’t really like being there on my own that much,” she continued.
During the interview, the Netflix actress admitted that she was still searching for a property where she could feel secure.

Miranda’s online celebrity didn’t begin and conclude with iCarly. The Californian star has also become the focus of countless social media memes throughout the years.
Amongst these is the ‘interesting’ meme, which originates from her portrayal of Megan Parker on Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh.
The clip shows her character positioned before a computer screen, taking a sip from a canned drink, before declaring: “Interesting.”
It transformed into a viral sensation during the mid-2010s as social media enthusiasts started sharing amusing situations alongside screenshots of the scene. It continues to be utilised today as a way of expressing suspicion.
Miranda caught on to the trend and subsequently reimagined it in the 2021 revival of iCarly.
