The BBC World Service has compiled evidence from over 160 cases in which children were shot by Israeli forces in Gaza, and found that in 95 of them, the child was shot in the head or chest. According to Gaza’s health ministry, Israel’s war has killed 60,332 people and injured 147,643 since 7 October 2023. The ministry also reported that, since 27 May, when Israel implemented its controversial new system for distributing humanitarian aid, 1,383 Palestinians seeking assistance have been killed, and more than 9,218 wounded.
