Halloween can be a bit of a divil to plan for, whether you are bringing small ones trick or treating, doing something cultural in the city, or just hitting the town for a night out in your costume.
Luckily, if you want to nab a ticket for something fun on Halloween night there are plenty of events taking place in Dublin that still have bookings available. None of these events require a costume, though dressing up is welcome at most of them. From BYOB crafting workshops to kid friendly art classes and choral concerts, the city will be buzzing with activity.
Some events are free, while others range in price. If you want to be a part of the action, check out some of our picks:
Monster Mash Themed Pottery Painting
This BYOB event at the Dublin Pottery Painting Studio in Smithfield is all about creativity. The €5 ticket booking acts as a deposit and guarantees you a spot at the Monster Mash themed pottery painting event, and once you arrive you proceed to the studio and buy a ceramic of your choice to paint.
Once painted, your piece will be left at the studio where it will be glazed and fired in the kiln and ready for collection in one to four weeks. “From pumpkin mugs to ghosts let your imagination run wild and create the perfect piece to celebrate spooky season.” You can nab a spot via Eventbrite here.
Saint Patrick’s Cathedral: After Dark
Suitable for all ages, the stunning candle-lit recital of some spooky tunes in the beautiful church is a spine-tingling and memorable way to spend Halloween night. The programme includes Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor and Saint-Saens’ Danse Macabre, alongside music from Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Pirates of the Caribbean and more.
Best of all, the ticket sales are in aid of BUMBLEANCE, the children’s ambulance service. Standard tickets are €10, while concession tickets are €5, and you can find them here.
