From Tel Aviv to Sydney: Jewish fashion labels leading global style

From timeless staples to bold statements, Jewish-owned labels continue to redefine what it means to lead in fashion.

Jewish designers have been at the forefront of the global fashion scene for generations. Far from merely following trends, Jewish labels are renowned for setting them. From household names like Levi Strauss, who made jeans an everyday go-to, to Calvin Klein, whose minimalism redefined modern-day chic and comfort. It’s no secret that Jewish visionaries set the tone for what the world wears.

This fall, fresh Jewish and predominantly Israeli brands are pushing this season’s trends forward.

Here are five Jewish-owned fashion labels to know and shop.

Bec + Bridge

Founded in 2003 in Sydney, Australia, by Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston. This hyper-feminine brand is known for its modern, sleek silhouettes that take women from day to night.

A celebrity favorite, often worn by Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Jewish fashionista Sofia Richie Grainge, the brand is best known for its distinctively shaped and colored dresses that are always a hit at weddings and special events.

Cooper comes from a long line of fashion designers, telling SBS News in 2013, “My grandmother was a dressmaker when she came here after the Holocaust, and so was my grandfather on my father’s side”.

This fall, the brand has focused on event-season styling with a range of elegant evening dresses featuring its signature cut-outs and patterns, as well as structured, tailored pieces perfect for the office and Sunday brunch.

Shani Shemer

For those of us lucky enough to still enjoy the beach during fall, Tel Aviv-based designer Shani Shemer brings a breath of fresh air to resort wear, creating must-haves for any fashion girl’s wardrobe.

Born in Migdal HaEmek and inspired by her world travels, Shemer launched a swim brand that has since exploded on the international stage with her one-of-a-kind handmade designs.

For over 14 years, Shemer has been designing swimwear adored by Israeli stars like Gal Gadot and Bar Rafaeli.

Thanks to her meticulous attention to detail, commitment to quality fabrics, and ability to design pieces women truly love, her pieces are sold out worldwide at retailers such as Revolve, FWRD, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Shemer balances elegance with sexiness. As she told Israeli news agency Ynet in 2022, “The world is going to a place of sexy and short-lived designs, but I prefer oversize fits and linen fabric”.

Her most recent release, the “Earth Collection,” highlights one pieces and bikinis in dusty pink flower patterns, dark brown cover-ups, and flowing kaftans in breathtaking patterns clearly inspired by her Mediterranean and Middle Eastern roots.

Ronny Kobo

If you’re looking for fall-coded staples, Ronny Kobo’s timeless designs are worth checking out.

The Israeli-born designer is best known for her pieces that delicately balance timeless and trendy by creating elegant and refined silhouettes loved by modern women.

This fall, the brand’s new collection includes universal items, including modest dresses and skirts, as well as sexy, head-turning vests and tops. The drop highlights the season’s standout shades: deep teal, desert brown, deep burgundy, and olive green.

Kobo has a cult following on social media; her pieces are often sold out in large retailers like Yoox, Revolve, and Israeli favorite Factory 54.

As Kobo states on her website, “The woman I design for is confident, worldly, and sexy with a fabulous sense of humor and imagination.”

Nili Lotan

The ultimate if-you-know-you-know brand, Nili Lotan’s pieces are often described as timeless and trendless.

Known for designing chic ready-to-wear for men and women, the Israeli-born Lotan is now expanding into accessories. She recently released her quiet-luxury coded line of handbags, including the already-viral Lou tote, a structured leather bag that boasts no external logos, just quality.

Lotan’s pieces are designed to last forever. Best known for her best-selling jean, “The Shon,” the uniquely cut barrel jeans were featured in her first line, designed in 2003, and are still sold today in multiple fabrics and colors.

Speaking with Vogue earlier this year, Lotan shared that her 2025 pre-fall collection dives into grunge-inspired aesthetics — revealing 70s-coded jackets and coats in tailored leather, velvet, and cashmere.

Lotan consistently reimagines and elevates business-casual staples, earning a devoted following among women who prefer to find their favorite designers through “word of mouth” rather than social media or hype.

Lotan has amassed a cult following of women looking for minimal statement pieces that suit their busy lives.

Her newest collection is available now directly through her website and select luxury retailers.

Camilla and Marc

Another beloved Australian brand that is becoming an international cult favorite, Camilla and Marc masterfully merge traditional masculine tailoring with contemporary feminine cuts.

The brother-sister duo, Camilla and Marc Freeman, launched their first line in 2003, and have since become the chic girl’s go-to for fall staples — namely their iconic trench coats.

Considered a true investment piece, the brand’s trench coats reinterpret classic designs with modern details —  from bold colors, voluminous sleeves, oversized collars, and detachable waist ties that can be worn knotted or tied loosely at the back.

Beyond outerwear, the label also offers impeccably tailored pants and blazer sets, vintage-inspired skirts, and dresses for all occasions.

Deeply connected to their Jewish roots, the founders are celebrated figures within the Jewish Australian community. Camilla told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2023, “[My] Mum was quite spiritual and religious. I was raised Orthodox Jewish and love the way the heritage brings family together. I hope to pass on the gestures of tradition to our children”.

Camilla and Marc boutiques are located in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. Their collections ship internationally from their website and can be found in stockists SSense, and SelfFridges.
