Elizabeth (Lily) Donovan (née O’Neill), Clonard, Mountrath, Co. Laois and formerly of Tully East, Kildare.
Died November 25th 2025 in her 90th year, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful and loving care of the staff at Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington.
Lily was predeceased by her loving husband Tom (25th August, 2025), her son Tommy (Jan 1997) and her brother Michael.
Lily will be sadly missed by her sons Billy, Dan, Joseph, Michael, Declan and Paul, daughters Mary, Anne and Caroline, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. “May Lily Rest in Peace”.
Lily will repose at Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown, (Eircode R32TN84) this Wednesday evening (Nov 26th) from 6.30pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.
Removal from Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown, on Thursday morning (Nov 27th) at 10.50am to arrive at St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown, (Eircode R32KT22) for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by interment immediately afterwards in Churchtown Cemetery, Castletown. Margaret Fitzpatrick- Cullohill, Laois / Freshford, Kilkenny
Margaret (Peg) Fitzpatrick (nèe Doyle) , Gurteen, Cullohill , Co. Laois and formerly of Johnstown Road, Freshford , Co. Kilkenny . Peg died peacefully, on Tuesday 25th November in St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased her parents James and Bridgid, husband Kieran, infant daughter Theresa and son-in-law Gerry.
Deeply regretted by her loving family Con, Kathleen, Geraldine, John, Kieran and Liam, daughters-in-law Bernadette and Josephine, Son-in-law Martin, her 12 grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece-in-law Margaret , relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May Peg rest in Peace.
Peg will repose in her home in Gurteen (R32F309) on Thursday 26th November, from 4pm pausing for prayers at 7pm. Removal on Friday 27th November to arrive in St. Tighearnach’s Cullohill (R32EV76) for 12 noon funeral Mass, followed by burial in Durrow Cemetery (R32CK11). House private on Friday please.

Kathleen Evans- Portlaoise
Kathleen Evans (nee Murphy) Late of Blackburn, England and formerly 7 Lakeglen, Portlaoise. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband Glyn and family Melissa, Susie, Robert and DJ. Daughter of the late Joe and Lynn Murphy of Lakeglen. Predeceased by her brothers Andrew, Joseph and sister Linda. Deeply regretted by her sisters Mary, Susan, Paula , Yvonne, and brothers Martin, Kevin and Dean. Cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Memorial mass will take place in Ss Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise at 11 am on Thursday morning. Burial of ashes will take place immediately afterwards in Ss Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Breda Vickers – Laois
The death has occurred of Breda Vickers Breda Vickers (née Mahon) of Wicklow Town and formerly Co Laois who passed away on Monday 24th November 2025 peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Bridie Mahon. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, husband Sean, daughters Aisling and Lorraine, granddaughter Emily, siblings Mary, Gerry and Teresa, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephew, extended family and friends. Mary Dowling – Ballybrophy
The death has occurred of Mary Dowling (née Bergin) of Knocknoo, Ballyfoyle, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Ballymeelish, Ballybrophy, Co. Laois.
Mary passed away on 24th November 2025, peacefully, at Aut Even Hospital, after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late Billy and much loved mother of Ann Marie and Thomas. Mary will be dearly missed by her loving family, sister Margaret, daughter-in-law Claire, grandchildren Aaron, Katie and Sophie, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Mary is predeceased by her parents William and Mary and brothers Dan and Mick. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday (26th Nov) from 4pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm.
Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyfoyle.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Langton, Rathnamanagh, Portlaoise who died on November 23 peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
