Apple Picking Exhibition 2025

Pick apples straight from an indoor “apple tree” hung with real fruit from Sun Farm, a 300-year-old orchard in Morioka that grows more than 140 varieties. Priced around ¥300 per apple, staff will slice them into thin rings so you can compare flavors on the spot or take them home. The lineup includes rare varieties that are hard to find in Tokyo, plus a tasting set of three tart apple juices at different “sourness levels” and a limited batch of apple pies made with Sun Farm’s Bramley and other cooking apples.

International Robot Exhibition (iREX)

The International Robot Exhibition, the largest robotics fair in the world, returns to Tokyo every two years. This year focuses on “Sustainable Societies Through Robotics,” with more than 300 exhibitors presenting solutions for manufacturing, elder care, logistics and more. Expect industrial robot arms that weld, assemble and move parts to service robots designed for healthcare, cleaning and everyday use.

Tokyo Christmas Market

Head to Shiba Park’s first Christmas market for mulled wine, sausages, German draft beer and imported ornaments under a canopy of lights. Organized by the German Tourist Bureau, the event features more than 30 food stalls, 20 craft booths and a small stage for bands and carolers.

Hogwarts in the Snow: Harry Potter Studio Tokyo

Tokyo’s behind-the-scenes Harry Potter tour transforms into a Christmas edition each year. Diagon Alley is dusted with snow, Gryffindor’s common room and dorms are decorated for the holidays and the Hogwarts castle model is set in a winter scene with projection mapping that simulates falling snow. A cozy choice for fans who want a holiday atmosphere without spending the day outdoors.

Running since 1975, Comiket is Japan’s largest gathering of anime artists and fans. Different creators exhibit on different days, so planning your route is part of the fun. Many of the self-published magazines and goods (doujinshi) sell out before they reach online stores.
