Leeds Abbey Dash 2025 will see thousands of people come together.
The Leeds Abbey Dash 10k will be happening on Sunday, November 30. We are bringing you everything you need to know about the event in this article.
One of the region’s most popular road-runs, thousands of participants are expected to take part as non-for-profit organisers, Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, deliver the event in 2025 – carrying the baton from Age UK.
The 10k route will see participants set off from Leeds city centre, and out to the historic Kirkstall Abbey, before heading back to the centre for the finish, where they will receive their well-earned medal. Famous for its fast and flat course, this year’s Leeds Abbey Dash 10K has also been selected as the England Athletics 10k Championship Event and will see elite and club athletes from across the country compete for the fastest times.
While elite entrants may be chasing personal bests, the Leeds Abbey Dash is welcome to all abilities. You can take a scroll below to find all the key information about the event.

As mentioned above, runners of all abilities will be taking part in the Leeds Abbey Dash 2025 run. The event is happening on Sunday, November 30.

Leeds Abbey Dash 2025 map and route
The 2025 Leeds Abbey Dash will start at Wellington Street. The 10k route will see participants set off from Leeds city centre.
On the circuit, runners will take in Kirkstall Abbey, before heading back to the centre of Leeds to take in the finish line.

Road closures
To ensure its smooth running, there will be a number of road closures in-place when the 2025 Leeds Abbey Dash is running. The event organisers are advising the public that a number of roads will be closed or have access restricted to ensure the safety of all those taking part.
The event will require the closure of a number of roads and road junctions, as well as the suspension of traffic regulation orders between 4am and 3pm on Sunday, November 30. The event will also require parking suspensions from 6pm on Saturday, November 29 to 3pm on Sunday, November 30.

Roads affected by the parking suspensions include Park Place, York Place and Quebec Street.
On the day of the run, roads between New Road Side and Bridge Road/Kirkstall Lane are scheduled to reopen between 11.30am and 11.45am, while roads between Commercial Road and Kirkstall Road will reopen between 12pm and 12.30pm. Roads in and around the city centre will be reopened for 3pm.
