The professional dancer has shared a full statement after being booted from Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones issued a full statement following her and partner Lewis Cope’s emotional exit from the dance show.
The professional dancer, 36, teared up in a heartbreaking moment on Sunday night’s results episode, as the top-scoring pair, who were one of the bookies’ favourite to win the competition, were axed following a tense dance-off.
Shortly after the show was broadcast, Katya admitted she was ‘heartbroken’ by the result, but praised the couples who will be dancing at this week’s semi-final show.
Today, Wednesday, December 10, Katya has published a full statement, with a nod to the “pain” she is experiencing following the tough blow.
She wrote on Instagram: “To my magnificent Lewis Cope. This is a celebration of you!

“Not often do we meet people who are truly exceptional, rare, people who seem to be cut from a different cloth. But you ARE one of them. You are made of magic. Your inner light shines so brightly that all of us can’t not be touched by it.
“Your talent is unmatched. Together with your work ethic and morals- it is a combination that makes you a super human. One of a kind. You are destined for something extraordinary. And I am looking forward to be your biggest cheerleader when it happens.
“When you thought you were simply learning to dance to entertain people- you were doing something far more meaningful.
“You were represented your beautiful family and countless others, who are hard working, resilient, full of integrity and gratitude. you gave them inspiration to dream without limits and to never give up but always to do it with a humble heart.”
She went on to make a rather telling comment in her celebration of Lewis, emphasising just how fantastic of a dancer she believes the Emmerdale star really is.
Katya went on: “In my opinion, you are the BEST male contestant that has ever graced Strictly Dance Floor. First 10, first 40 of the season, the earliest 40 in the history of Strictly ( shared), topped Blackpool, winner of the first Instant Dance challenge.
“And left us with a catalogue of dances that will be watched by generations to come as some of the greatest of all times.
“I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to be chosen to partner you. I loved dancing with you. Oh, DID I LOVE DANCING WITH YOU! You set my little dancing soul on fire a feeling so priceless, it’s worth every bit of pain I’m feeling now.
“The moment you got up from that judges desk in your red outfit and terrible hair in a bun. I knew the STAR WAS BORN! THANK YOU. thank you for giving us all so much joy and excitement, so many unforgettable moments, AH’s and WOW’s !”

The Strictly dancer rounded off her statement by showing her appreciation for those who supported the pair over the last few months.
She said: “To every single person who supported us- I am grateful from the bottom of my heart/ I wanted this to be everything and more for Lewis. Receiving so much love and appreciation from everyone, I realised, he didn’t need the trophy to win the hearts of the nation.
“And I know that we will keep dancing, mush. Please everyone, GIVE IT UP for the magnificent LEWIS COPE!”
Alongside the gushing statement, Katya posted a series of pictures of herself and Lewis over the last few months, in a touching tribute to her friend.
