The Demon Hunta’z show, inspired by the Netflix animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, was set to take place at Glasgow Green’s Winter Wonderland on December 20, but was pulled just hours after tickets went on sale.
Organised by Wicked Entertainment, the show promised high-energy choreography, theatrical storytelling and audience interaction for a family-friendly crowd.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Apologies but, further to a release issued earlier this morning, due to unforeseen circumstances, Wicked Entertainment has had to cancel its performance of Demon Hunta’z scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 20 at Winter Wonderland at Glasgow Green.
“Customers who have bought tickets for the show will automatically be reimbursed and we apologise for this inconvenience which is outwith our control.”
The reasons behind the cancellation have not been clarified.
The event was scheduled at the Big Top Live venue as part of a special Winter Wonderland programme at Glasgow Green, with tickets priced at £15 and two showings planned – from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm.
Tickets had only gone on sale earlier that day.
The show’s cancellation adds to a recent trend of festive entertainment disruptions across Scotland, with other high-profile seasonal events delayed or cancelled for various reasons.

Demon Hunta’z was set to capitalise on the runaway success of KPop Demon Hunters, a Netflix sensation released in June 2025.
The animated musical follows a fictional K-pop girl group, Huntrix, who double as demon hunters protecting humanity.
The film became the most-watched original animated film on Netflix, with more than 236 million views.
Its influence also spilled into the music industry, with its soundtrack dominating charts globally.
The song Golden claimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and the film’s album became the first soundtrack ever to land multiple songs in the Hot 100 Top 10 at the same time.
The show planned for Glasgow was billed as a fully immersive theatrical experience, with award-winning choreography aimed at transforming the audience into part of the story.
Similar tribute events have taken place at other venues across Scotland throughout December.
Despite the disappointment, Winter Wonderland at Glasgow Green continues to offer a packed festive programme for families through to January 4, 2026.
Current attractions include an ice rink, Santa’s grotto, the Observation Wheel, the Venetian Flying Chairs and the Mad Mouse Rollercoaster.
The Big Top Live venue is still hosting other performances, including the family-friendly panto Cinders Fella by Folksy Theatre Company, as well as sensory storytelling sessions like Jingle Around the World.
Glasgow residents can still enjoy 10% off ice-skating sessions and Big Top Live performances by using the discount code GXMAS25 when booking online.
Proof of residence is required to redeem the offer.
Those who purchased tickets for Demon Hunta’z have been assured that refunds will be processed automatically with no need for further action on their part.
The cancellation also highlights the momentum behind KPop Demon Hunters as an emerging global franchise.
In addition to merchandised products, the Netflix property has inspired concert tours, theatrical tributes and a sing-along release in selected cinemas.
Wicked Entertainment has emphasised that the decision was “outwith their control”, pointing to external circumstances behind the abrupt cancellation.
