Hero bystander tackles Bondi Beach shooter

Incredible footage shows a civilian heroically tackling and disarming one of the Bondi Beach shooters.

The man, wearing a white shirt, is seen crouching behind a car in the carpark metres away from the gunman wearing white pants, a black top and what appears to be an armoured vest.

In between shots, the hero bystander rushes through the cars and grabs the shooter in a headlock from behind.

After a wild struggle lasting about five seconds, he seizes the shotgun and the gunman falls backwards.

The man points the gun at the shooter, who walks back towards the bridge looking over his shoulder.

Incredibly, the hero bystander then places the shotgun against a tree.

The second shooter is seen in the same video on the raised bridge nearby, ducking up and down as he exchanges fire with police who are seen sheltering behind cars.

He frantically gestures for his disarmed companion to join him back on the bridge.

The hero bystander and another man are seen still crouched by the tree by the shotgun.

His companion appears to then be shot.

Moments later, an officer approaches from the direction behind the bridge shoots the gunman dead.

The second man was taken into custody suffering injuries.

Separate footage showed NSW Police giving CPR to the gunman who was shot, while the second man received medical attention.

In another video, police can be seen tending to two men on the ground, with a shotgun underneath one of the men and multiple spent shotgun shells on the ground.

A bystander can be heard “f*****g bash him” before a shirtless man approaches and kicks the man on the ground, before police move him away.
