President Donald Trump says the US is “locked and loaded” and will come to the rescue of Iranian protesters if any of them are killed by the regime.

A senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei responded by saying Trump should “be careful” if he intervened.
