A shot was fired at conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a campus event in the US state of Utah, the university has said.

Kirk, an ally of President Donald Trump, is known for holding open-air debates on campuses across the country.

“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot,” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.
