Indian Air Force helicopters bearing Operation Sindoor flags created a memorable spectacle during Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path on Monday, honoring India’s targeted military strikes against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir conducted last year.
The centerpiece of the military display was a Tri-Services tableau titled “Operation Sindoor: Victory Through Jointness,” which demonstrated the coordinated strength and unified capabilities of India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force in protecting national security.
The tableau featured an Integrated Operational Centre (IOC) that illustrated how Operation Sindoor succeeded through synchronized coordination among the armed forces.

Advanced weapon systems showcased
The tableau prominently displayed the BrahMos missile system, which delivered precision strikes on enemy targets during the operation. Providing defensive coverage for civilian areas were Akash missile batteries and the S-400 air defense network, operating under the “Sudarshan Chakra” protective umbrella concept.
In the Combat Support Elements section, two advanced indigenous systems, Divyastra and Shaktibaan, were exhibited mounted on High Mobility Vehicles (HMV 6×6), demonstrating the Indian Army’s commitment to self-reliance and technological advancement.
Shaktibaan and Divyastra represent India’s emerging unmanned strike capabilities, built on integrated surveillance and targeting principles. These platforms mark a strategic shift toward technology-enabled, precision warfare.
Both systems feature swarm drone technology, tethered reconnaissance drones, and ZOLT, an indigenously developed hybrid unmanned aerial vehicle designed for artillery fire direction.
Lieutenant Raman Mishra of 161 Medium Regiment commanded the Shaktibaan vehicle, while Subedar Kiran Medar from the same regiment commanded Divyastra.
According to the Ministry of Defence, these platforms can deploy drone swarms, conduct long-range precision strikes, and utilize loitering munitions for sustained battlefield effectiveness.
Advanced artillery gun system
The parade also showcased the Dhanush Gun System and the AMOGH Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System. Leading the Dhanush, a 155 mm, 45-calibre indigenous towed gun developed by Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited, was Captain Gaurav Pandey of the 871 Medium Regiment.
It boasts a precise firing range exceeding 40 km, launches shells in just 12 seconds, and quickly repositions to dodge enemy counterfire. With inertial navigation, auto gun-aiming, and superior stability, it delivers accuracy and dependability on diverse terrains.
The Republic Day parade concluded with a spectacular air show flypast at Kartavya Path.
Pahalgam terror attack to Operation Sindoor
Operation Sindoor was conducted by the Armed Forces in May 2025 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 civilians. The multi-service operation neutralised over 100 terrorists across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
