Launderette and dry cleaners unit to be considered

Plans have been outlined to convert a launderette and dry cleaners at Plympton ’s Ridgeway into a new premises for the chicken restaurant chain Selekt Peri Peri.
The two storey unit is within St Stephen’s Place shopping centre.
A pre application enquiry has been submitted to Plymouth City Council to refurbish the unit to create a “high quality restaurant with a secondary take out offer”.
No extensions are proposed; the existing footprint and shell will be retained and outdated shop fronts and windows replaced, say planning documents to the council.
The ground floor will accommodate the seating area for diners, a service counter and kitchen with upstairs earmarked for staff facilities and storage.
Hours of operation are given as 11am to 11pm.
