Marks and Spencer has emerged as a destination for seasonal fashion essentials. As temperatures start to plummet rapidly, it’s the perfect moment to invest in some warm knitwear.
With even colder weather on the horizon, the high street favourite is currently running several special promotions, including one offering 20 percent off selected jumpers and cardigans.
The Cloud-Yarn Ribbed Roll Neck Jumper appears to be particularly popular, with customers loving it so much they’ve been making impulse purchases in-store after it was the one piece that “caught their eye”.
Now priced at £22.40, reduced from £28, this winter knit, which has been described as “in demand”, is available in various sizes across four shades – olive, light brown, oatmeal and faded blue.
The roll-neck jumper is made from a lightweight cloud yarn fabric that feels “soft” and “cuddly”, whilst never being too bulky, meaning it can be easily layered with other garments underneath or beneath a jacket during particularly cold spells, reports the Daily Record.
Cut in a regular fit, the comfortable roll neck, ribbed trims and all-over ribbed texture give the Cloud-Yarn Ribbed Roll Neck Jumper a chunky, substantial appearance that will complement classic denim jeans and ankle boots perfectly.

M&S isn’t the sole retailer offering discounts on comfortable knitwear, as New Look customers can purchase the Longline Roll Neck Jumper for 40 percent less, with all four colours reduced from £34.99 to £20.99. Fashion lovers who appreciate the ribbed, textured finish of M&S’ jumper may want to explore Roman’s Textured Cowl Neck Jumper, available for £32 in three different shades.
M&S’ Cloud-Yarn Ribbed Roll Neck Jumper is flying off the shelves for good reason, having achieved a 4.7 rating from customers who describe it as “very cosy” and say they “want to wear it every day”.
One delighted customer wrote: “Cosy and on trend for autumn and winter. Cosy jumper – caught my eye on entrance to store display. Matched with three pleat wide leg trousers.”
A shopper who “bought one in each colour” wrote: “Bought this jumper on impulse …. it is warm, soft, cuddly and absolutely gorgeous. I normally buy jumpers which are either 100% wool or have a high content of wool and I actually thought that the fibre content would not come up to my expectations.”
Another glowing review read: “Great quality, very cosy and soft against the skin.”
The roll neck design has proved divisive amongst some shoppers, with a handful finding it either “too tight” or “too high”, as one three-star reviewer noted: “The roll neck is neither one or the other. It sits awkwardly round my neck but the light blue colour I chose is lovely and it keeps me warm.”
However, another satisfied customer awarded five stars, remarking: “This is the third jumper I gave in this style. All in different colours. Cosy, yet not too warm. Delighted.”
Another impressed shopper said: “Beautifully soft and cosy. The colour is a very attractive and gentle pale blue. I’m going to have to get second one, because, though it’s only autumn, I just want to wear it every day.”
The Cloud-Yarn Ribbed Roll Neck Jumper is currently available to purchase with a 20 percent discount at Marks and Spencer.
