Stacey Solomon has asked her online following to ‘please be kind’ as she shared an emotional update on a beloved member of her family.
Fans of the Sort Your Life Out host may recall that back in April, she asked for their prayers as she revealed her beloved dog Teddy’s health had suddenly deteriorated.
She and her husband Joe Swash were told their pet pooch “might not ever fully recover”, having found out he had a predisposed condition they “had no idea about”.
Stacey later revealed how Teddy suddenly lost the use of his back legs before vets later confirmed he’d suffered a burst disc with his spine “really worn” as the result of a predisposed condition.
After revealing he’d undergone an operation, Stacey said: “We are praying and hoping so hard that he pulls through & that we can care for him in the best way we possibly can to give him the best life he can have.
“We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He’s our family. And far too young to be going through this. We love you Ted. So so much. Pickle Cottage is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend…”
Teddy went on to survive the difficult op, and the immediate high-risk period after surgery. He later returned home, where Stacey and Joe were trying to rehabilitate him.

It was then in June that Stacey revealed the results of Teddy’s checks, saying it looked likely that he would never regain the use of his back legs, but that the vet was “pleased” with his progress thanks to her and Joe’s support for him.
Now, on Friday (July 25), Stacey took to Instagram with a new video of Teddy, who was able to run around with the family’s other dog, Peanut, for the first time having been fitted with his own set of wheels.
Alongside a moving video of their four-legged friend enjoying time with the faily in the garden, Stacey shared with her millions of followers: “Our Darling Teddy has his wheels. We have spent the last few days trying to teach teddy a new way of getting around & he’s finally learning to love his wheels [crying face emoji].
“He was very nervous at first but seeing him today walking around with peanut again was so special. We have spoken to our vet & have bought teddy some wheels. If we are doing anything wrong please be kind.
“This is a totally new journey for us & we are doing our best to give teddy the best life he can possibly have. So just let us know if you have any tips.”

She rounded off her post: “Teddy you’ve been such an amazing boy. We know your whole world has turned upside down but you’ve been so calm and patient and we hope we are giving you the second chance that you deserve. To the moon & back Teddy.”
