Selecting the perfect bodycare can prove tricky, especially when purchasing online without the opportunity to sample it beforehand. But there’s one body wash with a scent that shoppers are likening to a luxury brand’s fragrance – and it costs just £10.87.
As part of Cremo’s latest product releases, the brand is currently running a 25% discount across its entire range, including the Palo Santo Reserve Collection, until 15 February, allowing customers to secure items ahead of Valentine’s Day. The range features fragrances, body washes, beard oils and gift sets – all currently reduced.
A particular highlight is the Palo Santo Eau De Toilette (100ml) which has proved so popular it’s currently sold out on the brand’s website. Created by the brand’s ‘team of world-class scent experts’, this scent blends bright cardamom, dry papyrus and aromatic Palo Santo, delivering a ‘complex, layered formula that is uncommonly good’, according to the website.
The fragrance has been formulated to leave skin feeling soothed, balanced and refreshed, Cremo claims, and it’s suitable for combination skin. Boasting an average rating of 4.9 out of five from over 200 reviews on the website, it’s evident this is a well-loved product.
However, those who wish to try the scent need fear not, as the brand also offers the Palo Santo Reserve Collection Body Wash, priced at £10.87, reduced from £14.50. This features the same signature notes as the Palo Santo Eau De Toilette (100ml), but in a ‘lathering body wash’ formula.

It is claimed to moisturise, even out skin tone and provide instant refreshment. Finally, Cremo offers the Uncommon Scents Collection for £40, reduced from £53.45, which includes the aforementioned body wash.
It also features three additional body washes, including citrus and mint leaf, sage and citrus, and bourbon and oak scents. The site states ‘these layered and complex scents evolve as you wash’.
However, fans who reviewed the Palo Santo Eau De Toilette’s fragrance have compared it to far more expensive scents. One person shared a review on Reddit, stating: “I know they get mixed reviews on Reddit, but holy cow is this stuff blowing me away.
“Soft, airy, dry warm sandalwood. A little cardamom for aromatics. Is it complex? No. But it’s a banger. Like your favourite Italian dish, a few things well placed.” reports the Mirror.

“I’m kinda geeking over how much I like it. It lasts a decent chunk too. Far from beast mode length but I carry a pocket atomizer anyways. It’s gentle enough you can overspray all over and just have a soft pleasant ozone around you for a good few hours or so.”
Another reviewer noted the scent bears a strong resemblance to ‘Le Labo Santal 33’, which typically retails at £238 when at full price on Fenwick’s website. However, they actually stated they prefer Cremo’s Palo Santo Eau De Toilette as it is ‘much easier to wear.’
As an alternative, shoppers could consider this Boss The Scent Eau de Toilette for Him (50ml) from Boots, currently priced at £54.40, reduced from £68. Described as an ‘ambery-woody-fruity perfume’, the site notes this fragrance opens with the spicy freshness of natural ginger oil, followed by Maninka fruit and finishing with warm, carnal leather notes.
Or at Superdrug, there’s this Giorgio Armani Code Eau De Toilette (75ml) Gift set priced at £88. This three-piece gift set, featuring a 75ml fragrance, a 15ml fragrance and a deodorant, has ‘notes of citrus accord and torrified tonka beans intertwined with a lavandin heart’, according to the site.
The Cremo body wash is now less than £11
Returning to Cremo’s Palo Santo Eau De Toilette – which shares the same scent as the brand’s body wash by the same name – and customers have shared glowing reviews online. One person commented: “Sensual aramatic refreshing natural body spray. Spectacular results. Cooling and exquisite.”
Another enthused: “This cologne is better than great. I have received more compliments everywhere I go since I began using it, asking what I was wearing. It doesn’t knock others over by being too strong.
“It has a clean pleasant breezy scent that arrives as you do, not five minutes before. It is light enough I even spritz occasionally after a long day just to give myself a lift around the house. It is another Cremo product to be sold on!”
One individual gave four stars and penned: “I do like the aroma but not as good as the spice and black vanilla that I bought from Cremo at the same time, and it doesn’t last as long on my skin as the other product in my opinion, it is still a very good cologne though.”
However, most were satisfied, as another person commented on Cremo’s site: “I get so many compliments on this scent. People think it is from a big name department store with a hefty price tag.”
