Lucinda Light has built a thriving media career following her appearance on Married at First Sight Australia.
The 44 year old reality television personality featured in series 11 of the Channel 4 dating programme in 2024, where she was partnered with Timothy Smith. Their time on the show proved to be anything but straightforward.
Whilst they ended the series on friendly terms, their friendship was short-lived. Lucinda previously revealed: “Everybody always asks me that one, the story of Tim and I. Sadly, we’re not friends anymore.
“Not by my choice. Tim sort of opted out of that friendship. And yeah, my arms and doors are always open to Tim. I’d love to be friends with him. Im still holding a lantern of hope for friendship. So fingers crossed. He’s a character. He’s good fun, Tim.”
Following her stint on the programme, she gained a substantial fanbase who were captivated by her forthright approach when dealing with her on-screen husband Tim and other participants.
Between launching books and embarking on tours, Lucinda shows no signs of stepping back from the spotlight as she makes an appearance on the latest instalment of Sunday Brunch on 15 March with presenters Tim LoveJoy and Simon Rimmer.

Is Lucinda Light in a relationship?
Whilst maintaining a public profile, the star generally keeps her romantic life out of the spotlight and is presently single. She is, however, actively seeking companionship as she’s confirmed to join the forthcoming series of Celebs Go Dating, anticipated to arrive on television this summer.
Discussing her expectations, she commented:“I’m outrageously excited for this wild journey into dating these hunky UK men! I’m ready to try something different. I’ve given the Aussie blokes a go and I’m ready for the Northern Hemisphere schmoozing!”
It’s clear the MAFS bride is getting stuck into the dating world as she revealed that she’s locked lips with a number of new suitors as filming continues on the E4 show.
“I’ve kissed one, two, three,” she told The Sun, tallying them up. “I think I’ve kissed three guys so far. Not tongues, not tonsil. Just cute little lippy kisses.”

She added: “I’ve had five dates so far. They’re all cute in their own ways but there’s potential with the very last date that I had last night. I’d like to see him again. There were, you know, at least embers with potential sparks, you know.”

Lucinda has since broken her silence on replacing Mel Schilling as the new expert on the Australia version after shock exit. Earlier this year, Mel left everyone stunned when she announced she was stepping down from her role as an expert on Married at First Sight after 12 years.
At the time, she took to Instagram to share the news, citing a desire to focus on her family and health. Speculation has since been rife amongst fans as to who might fill her shoes, with many putting Lucinda’s name forward as an ideal candidate.

However, Lucinda has since addressed the rumours with a statement on her Instagram, saying: “It’s been a real heart-tug hearing that the radiant Mel Schilling is stepping away from MAFS Australia. What a force. What a woman. She leaves very big shoes to fill.
“Since the news dropped, I’ve had a wave of gorgeous messages asking if I’d consider stepping into her role. I’m deeply touched & truly mean that. The faith people have in me is not lost on me.
“But let’s be honest… I’m very single. And currently in London filming @celebsgodating & very much in student mode. I’m learning, unlearning, stretching, laughing at myself and soaking up wisdom from the agency.”
