Laura Fox admits she was happy to work seven days a week earlier this year, describing her job as a “privilege”.

The presenter was on air with her daily radio show on 2FM each weekday, before turning her attention to Dancing With The Stars on the weekends.

While it was an incredibly busy time for Laura, who filled in for usual host Doireann Garrihy on the hit RTÉ dance show, she had no complaints.

The TV star told RSVP Live: “I think I was fine. Obviously coming towards the end I was really looking forward to a day off!

“But I’m really good at compartmentalising things.

“Last year, when I knew this was happening, I was like, ‘Okay, nobody speak to me between January and March,’ because I knew I was just going to be working and nothing else.

“From March onwards I knew I could think of Ireland’s Fittest Family, my wedding, and everything else that comes alongside that because I knew I could have a breather then.

“I want to say it’s tough, but it’s not.

“I’ve done really hard work before and this is not it.

“It’s just such a privilege and it’s amazing to be part of.”

Laura says co-hosting the show alongside mainstay Jennifer Zamparelli was everything she hoped it would be.

She told us: “Having been a contestant, I think it was easier to step in as host because I knew exactly how everyone was feeling the whole time and I knew how nervous they were going to be.

“It’s such a great show to be a part of, especially because in the depths of winter when it’s bleak, wet and dark.

“You’re wondering if winter will ever come to an end, and then you have a bit of sparkle on a Sunday night.

“To be a part of it, even though I was working seven days a week, none of it ever dragged.

“I never walked in there thinking, ‘This is never ending’, because to me everything was interesting and fun.”

Since taking part in Dancing With The Stars herself in 2024, Laura’s career has been on an upward trajectory.

The Galway native is now the host of Ireland’s Fittest Family and is one of 2FM’s brightest stars – and recently landed a new drivetime show with her good pal Katja Mia.

And in her personal life, Laura is looking forward to legally marrying longtime partner Brian at the end of this month, before celebrating with an Italian wedding in August.

“2026 has been great,” Laura gushed.

“It’s one of those things where it’s like everything I’ve ever wanted is here,” she said.

“I just want to be aware and enjoy every single second of it. I’m having a ball and it’s only April.”

Laura is an ambassador for this year’s Kelloggs Cúl Camps and, as an avid GAA fan, was more than happy to get involved.

She said: “I’m from Moylough so I went to Cúl Camps for football and camogie every year because that was two weeks sorted every summer.

“When Kelloggs got in touch and asked me to get involved as an ambassador I jumped at the chance because I think it’s so important.

“I played GAA until I was up to 18, all the way up to the college years and I loved it.

“The important thing to remember about these camps is you don’t have to be that good at the sport to participate. I

“I was totally there for the social aspect and it fulfilled that for me, while also getting to play a match and have the craic.”

To mark 15 years of its proud sponsorship, which has helped more than 1.7 million children get active nationwide, Kellogg’s and the GAA are bringing the magic of Cúl Camps to 15 schools through the launch of a nationwide competition, The Cúl-est P.E. Class.

The competition offers schools the chance to win an unforgettable Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps experience, aimed at engaging students at a critical age before they traditionally begin to drop out of sport. Teachers and parents of 4th and 5th class students can submit nominations from today until 25th April, with full details available here.
