McRae proud but frustrated
(Getty)
Craig McRae admitted he was a “bit frustrated” after the Magpies walked away without the win.
But speaking to reporters after the match, McRae was satisfied with the effort the Magpies showed after losing to the Lions by 54 points in their last start.
At least our DNA was on show … we just didn’t manage our moments at the critical times.
McRae found positives in the Magpies’ performance on the defensive side of the ball.
We defended the ground really well. We didn’t last week…we’re improving parts of our game.
But … McRae considered this a match the Magpies let slip through their fingers.
We did enough to win this game.

‘Never in doubt’

We highlighted Josh Treacy’s clutch mark inside the Dockers’ defensive 50 late in thye final term.
This is what Dockers skipper Alex Pearce had to say about his teammate’s effort when he spoke with the Seven Network.
Never in doubt, the big fella. We’ll make a defender out of him yet.
It was fantastic for him to come back, such a vulnerable position.
He’s done a lot of work on that, that’s his role late in games to come back and suit up for us … for him to own the moment like that is fantastic. I’m so proud of him.

Do the Dockers have a shot left?
Six minutes on the clock — can the Dockers overhaul the Magpies?
There’s enough time to eat away at the Magpies’ seven-point lead, but the Dockers need to raise the intensity.
They’ve barely fired a shot this quarter.
