A ‘devoted’ father and ‘loving’ grandad is among the lost loved ones commemorated in this week’s Leicester Mercury death notices. Neil Bryan Langley Fallows, aged 59, is one of 21 people fondly remembered by family and friends.
Tributes have also been paid to Harry Wells, aged 91, who served as a police officer and then as a civilian communications aide. The tributes below are listed in alphabetical order.

(nee Child) of Worthington, the widow of Dick, a loving mum, granny, sister and aunt, passed peacefully away on 5th January 2026 at home aged 82 years. The funeral service will be held at St Matthew’s Church, Worthington on Thursday 22nd January at 12.00 noon followed by burial in Worthington Cemetery. Passed away at home on Sunday December 14th, aged 74 years. Passed away peacefully on New Year’s Day at the Heights care home in Buckinghamshire, aged 94 years.
