Bridgerton season four part two teased in trailer

Bridgerton’s Francesca star Hannah Dodd looks unrecognisable in an underrated Netflix gem. Bridgerton made its return to the streaming platform for its fourth season last month. The narrative follows Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, An Offer From a Gentleman, focusing on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and servant Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).

The opening four episodes depicted the couple falling deeply for one another at a masquerade ball. Yet, when they crossed paths again, Benedict failed to recognise Sophie in her servant’s attire – though this didn’t prevent him from developing feelings for her once more. Meanwhile, Benedict’s younger sister Francesca, portrayed by Hannah Dodd, encountered difficulties in her marriage to John Stirling (Victor Alli) after struggling to reach her “pinnacle”, reports the Mirror.

Bridgerton fans will know that 30-year-old actress Hannah assumed the role of Francesca from Ruby Stokes in season three. The performer was previously recognised for her work in productions such as Anatomy of a Scandal, Harlots, and Flowers in the Attic: The Origin. Her film credits include Fighting with My Family, Eternals and Enola Holmes 2. Last year, Hannah also led the West End’s production of Cabaret as Sally Bowles.

Yet, some viewers might be unaware that Hannah made her television debut in Hulu series Find Me in Paris, which ran for three seasons from 2018 to 2020. The teenage science-fantasy drama followed Lena Grisky (Jessica Lord), a Russian princess from 1905 and accomplished ballet student at the Paris Opera Ballet, who was inadvertently transported to 2018 through a mystical necklace.

Whilst her boyfriend Henri (Christy O’Donnell) attempted to retrieve her, Lena had to adapt to contemporary life by integrating into the 21st-century ballet school, whilst avoiding a menacing group of time travellers. Hannah portrayed the lead role of Thea Raphael, a gifted yet competitive ballet student at the Paris Opera school, who frequently clashed with Lena.

Another commented: “I couldn’t stop watching this. I am aware this is a children’s show but it is very well done! Funny, quirky, adorable, great cast! I’m 34 years old and I loved this show.”

A third remarked: “I loved each and every episode of this show. It has a sweet storyline that includes lessons in family, love, and friendship. It has the perfect amount of comedy, drama, and intrigue. The show can appeal to young and old audiences with its mix of classical ballet and modern hip-hop dance. I think it’s perfect for the whole family.”
