Tributes have been paid to people across the Plymouth area and further afield who have died recently.
Among those lovingly remembered in the funeral notices is Raymond John Harris, who passed away on 16th February 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family aged 79.
Raymond was a beloved husband to Marilyn, loving father to James and Louise and proud grandfather to Leo as well as a former employee of Devonport Dockyard.
A loving tribute to Raymond says: ‘God looked around his garden And found an empty place He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.’
Raymond’s funeral service will be held at 11.30am in room two on Wednesday 4th March, at The Park Crematorium, Merafield Road, Plympton.

It’s been the hardest thing to lose you. You meant so much to me, But you are in my heart my love, And that’s where you will always be. I know that Heaven called you, But I wish you could have stayed. At least the memories I have of you, They will never fade. I did not want to lose you, But you did not go alone Because a part of me went with you When Heaven called you home. So just remember one thing We are not apart, You’re with me in my memories And in my broken heart. Love and miss you Ruth xx
