Some people in receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) will receive more than £10,100 in the new financial year as the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed payments will increase by 3.8%. People on the enhanced rates of both the daily living and mobility elements of PIP are expected to collect over £10,119 throughout the 2026/27 financial year.

From April 6, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will uplift all disability-related benefits, including PIP, Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Attendance Allowance and Carer’s Allowance. Currently, PIP provides between £29.20 and £187.45 weekly, equating to four-weekly awards ranging from £116.80 to £749.80. Following the uprating, these sums will increase to between £30.30 and £194.60, translating to £121.20 and £778.40 per four-week payment cycle.

The Scottish Government has additionally announced that devolved benefits including Adult Disability Payment (ADP), Child Disability Payment, Pension Age Disability Payment (PADP), Carer Support Payment and Scottish Adult Disability Living Allowance will match the payment levels of DWP benefits, as reported by the Daily Record.

PIP and ADP payment rates 2026/27

Both PIP and ADP comprise two elements – daily living and mobility. From Monday, April 6, PIP will be distributed at the below weekly amounts.

Bear in mind that most benefits – including PIP and Adult Disability Payment – are typically paid four weeks in arrears. Consequently, recipients won’t see the complete new rate until one full payment cycle following April 6 has concluded.

Until that timeframe elapses, those claiming will receive a combination of previous and updated rates in their next scheduled payment following April 6.
