Industry Season 4: Episode 8 preview trailer
Audiences who have watched the season four finale of Industry have been left begging for more. Season four, episode eight, titled Both, And, finished on an explosive note with many viewers blasting one character in particular for their “reprehensible” actions. Many now want to know if the HBO and BBC series Industry will be returning for another outing. Here’s everything we know so far about Industry season five. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Industry season 4, episode 8.
Will there be another season of Industry?
Yes, is the short answer. Industry might have wrapped up, but there’s bittersweet news for fans after HBO confirmed that the show had been renewed for a fifth and final outing. In a statement, Industry’s creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay said: “We’re privileged to have joined the small, esteemed club of dramas that have run for five seasons on HBO.
“This March marks a decade since we first began to conceive of the world of Industry and it exists because of the unwavering faith and vision of our partners and former partners at HBO — Casey, Frannie, Kara, Cela, Sam, Kathleen, and Max. Without Jane Tranter’s imagination and belief, the show would simply be a dead idea in a drawer somewhere.

“She — alongside her partners at Bad Wolf — has been our guiding light and fiercest champion. We’d also like to thank the BBC for their partnership. For some time now we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high. Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party.”
The creative duo went on to say: “We’d like to thank our evangelical fan base, especially those who have watched from day one. Finally: we owe everything to our crew and the best cast on TV for making our writing live. The characters will live on because of their world class performances.”
They concluded: “Seeing the HBO ident in front of our work will never stop being a thrill. It remains the best place to make television, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration well into the future.” There’s no word yet on when season five will be hitting screens, however, going by previous release dates, a 2028 premiere would make sense.

Previous outings have come out every two years and season three premiered back in 2024 and the most recent outing arrived in the new year.
Season five is expected to have another eight episodes like all of its predecessors and is expected to be airing on a weekly basis on HBO and HBO Max in the USA and the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
However, with the rollout of HBO Max in the UK this year, Industry’s British home might be changing for its final outing.
Season five will be tying up all the loose ends for our characters after the fourth finale served up quite a few twists.
The Industry season 5 renewal image from Instagram
HBO announced the renewal news recently and the official Industry Instagram account posted an image of lines of cocaine fashioned into a tally of five on top of a wedding photo of Henry Muck (played by Kit Harington) and Yasmin Hanani (Marisa Abela), with a rolled up banknote next to it. The caption for the image read: “All lined up. #INDUSTRY is officially returning for its fifth and final season. #SEASON5.”
Actress Abela commented under the post: “This as the announcement photo is CRAZY.” While one fan said: “The best TV renewal post in the history of TV renewal posts.”
A second commented: “Congrats Industry team!! I hope Rob and Gus come home, so we can get the original Pierpoint gang back. Yas and Harper need their boys!” A third wrote: “Sad but it’s ending but one more let’s goooo.. also great promo pic haha [sic].”
