Galwegians are being urged to check if they are registered to vote ahead of the Galway West by-election and to check they are actually in the right constituency.
Huge changes were enacted by the boundary commission ahead of the 2024 General Election with the changes still in place for the coming run-off.
There was also a surge in registrations with over a quarter of a million people putting their name on the electoral register between December 2023 and June 2024.

Just remember to bring a valid form of ID with you on the day, because you would hate to get all the way to the school doors and be turned back for the sake of a passport or a driver’s license.
