Jet2 has unveiled two brand-new Greek destinations that will fly from Leeds Bradford Airport.

The airline will start flying to Santorini and Preveza for the first time from summer 2027. Flights to Preveza will run every Sunday through to October 10, 2027, while Santorini services depart on Thursdays until October 7, 2027.

Santorini, with its unique beauty and geological marvels, has been a Greek holiday heavy hitter for some time. The island’s breathtaking landscape was shaped by one of history’s most significant volcanic eruptions, resulting in towering cliffs encircling a caldera, atop which sit traditional Greek towns painted in white, boasting stunning sea views. The dreamy images of Santorini that most people conjure up are likely of Oia or Fira, the island’s capital.

Perched on the rim of an extinct volcano, Oia offers stunning views of the azure ocean from its many cliffside buildings. This is the Santorini you’ve seen on Pinterest, and it gets really busy in the summer. Just a 20-minute journey from Oia will land you in Fira. The cliffside walks offer breathtaking views, and there are plenty of nooks to explore, along with intriguing shops and eateries to try out.

Preveza is a less-visited destination in northwestern Greece, offering an authentic, uncrowded Mediterranean escape. It combines rich ancient history, stunning coastal landscapes, and exceptional seafood. Often overshadowed by neighboring Lefkada or Parga, it serves as a perfect, laid-back base for travelers. The region is home to 60km of gorgeous beaches alongside fascinating history and lively nightlife. The area connects to the Greek mainland via Greece’s first undersea tunnel.

According to Jet2, the Summer 2027 schedule at Leeds Bradford will be the biggest yet. Close to two million seats will be up for sale across 53 routes. There are other new flights launching from the North East hub next year, including to Egyptian favourites Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh.

CEO of Jet2, Steve Heapy, said: “We are seeing continued demand for our award-winning flights and holidays and many people wanting to book ahead for Summer 2027, so we are delighted to respond with this expanded programme from Leeds Bradford Airport.

“With two stunning, brand-new routes being announced, our Summer 2027 programme gives holidaymakers exactly what they want more choice and flexibility. We look forward to taking customers on their well-deserved holidays and showcasing our award-winning customer service to them as they head off to these new destinations.”

Aviation director at Leeds Bradford Airport, Declan Maguire, added: “Expanding our route network with Jet2 to include Preveza and Santorini for Summer 2027 gives Yorkshire even more choice when planning the perfect getaway.

“From the scenic coastline of Preveza to the iconic appeal of Santorini, these additions bring something new and exciting to Leeds Bradford Airport’s portfolio. Variety really is the spice of life, and this network development is all about giving Yorkshire greater choice, flexibility and inspiration for their next trip.”
