Katie Price had a surprisingly “calm” Christmas this year. The former glamour model, who has been a fixture in the celebrity scene since the 1990s, shares her typically hectic family life with fans on her YouTube channel and was joined by her mother, Amy, for a festive update.

The 47 year old showbiz icon was accompanied by all of her children as they headed to the Isle of Wight for the holiday season. In her latest vlog, Katie opened up about Christmas, saying: “I love it. It’s nice that we’re all together. And considering how many people are here, it’s quite calm, isn’t it? The kids are upstairs.”

Amy added: “Do you think? Well, I think the kids have worn themselves out,” before Katie continued: “I’m so relaxed. I could fall asleep. I’m relaxed. All of the build-up to Christmas, and now it’s like…relax. Ready for the New Year!”

The former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star, who also has 23 year old Harvey from her past relationship with footballer Dwight York, then declared that it was a “new lease of life” for everyone, and that 2026 would be a “new start” for her mum, reports the Mirror.

When questioned about whether Amy was pleased to have Katie back home, she shared with the camera: “I think it’s nice to have all the family here. The good thing is that she actually does come over here; you’ve been over more than Sophie this year. I think it’s quite nice, I think she chills when she’s here,” before Katie joked she “does nothing” when visiting her mum for a brief getaway.

Those familiar with Katie will be aware that her mum is battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Amy, who received her IPF diagnosis in 2017, underwent a lung transplant in November 2022 in an attempt to improve her health, but last year, it became clear just how unpredictable the condition can be.

To assist her with daily tasks, Katie surprised Amy with a mobility scooter for Christmas, leaving her mum overcome with emotion as Katie embraced her.

Katie declared: “It’s a new lease of life, freedom. See, instead of you getting in your car, especially in the summer, you can just whiz down there to the beach, and you don’t have to worry about parking. When it’s fully charged, it will last ages. You can go to the shops, up the hill. It does it all!”

Fans flooded the comments section to respond to the touching moment. One person commented: “When I got my scooter, it opened up my world, not just me but my daughter and grandkids. Your mum doesn’t realise how much of her life will be better,” whilst another remarked: “What a lovely Daughter that you have, she is so caring and generous….you have been Blessed with a beautiful Daughter and family….Happy New Year and a prosperous New Year….stay as you are, Katie…your heart is beautiful….God Bless You All..”

A third confessed: “I cried when I saw your mother’s tears of happiness. It doesn’t matter how old you are, whether you’re a child or an adult, but where your mother is, where your family home is, you feel safe and happy. You all look beautiful together.”

Last year, she discussed how her health was variable, experiencing both positive and difficult days, with her condition remaining unpredictable. Katie addressed her mother’s continuing struggles during an episode of The Katie Price Show, which she co-hosts with her sister Sophie.

Speaking to her mum, who also appeared on the podcast, Katie said: “I do feel you for you mum, because people have to understand what my mum’s gone through, like her brain is just so active and still switched on. She can’t do the things that she used to do, which is frustrating for her.”

The former glamour model went on to say: “Now here’s an example, because I am a patient person, but when my mother teases me and says let’s go look at the shops in the Isle of Wight, shall I take my walker or wheelchair, and I’m like ‘No we’re taking your wheelchair because I’m not taking an hour’.”

Amy, defending her position, responded: “It’s not doing me any good because I’m meant to walk to help myself.”

Katie also hinted that Amy might be attending the Isle of Wight Festival this year. Amy stated: “I hopefully should be walking.”

Earlier this year, Katie disclosed that although she’d never been a smoker, she quickly became attracted to vapes, and started suspecting something could be wrong with her own lungs. On Snapchat, 46 year old Katie shared that she was heading up to London for the day, and soon revealed that she was getting her lungs scanned.

The star confessed that she was “nervous” to undergo the tests, but said that it had to be done. She then posted numerous photos and videos from the medical practice, showing herself undergoing various examinations.

She later updated: “So I thought I’d give an update about yesterday when I went and had my lungs checked. Obviously I had them checked because my mum had a lung transplant, and to see if it’s genetic and to see if vaping has affected my lungs or anything like that. But my lungs are absolutely perfect, nothing wrong with them, and he gave me advice how to get off the vapes. So I’m starting to wean myself off the vapes. But yeah it’s all good news, they’re all working well and they’re really good lungs, especially for my age. So all good! I’m all healthy!”.
