An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis on Wednesday as the Trump administration cracks down on the city.
The woman, 37, was shot after driving towards officers during ICE’s operations in Minneapolis. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told the Daily Mail in a statement that she was ‘attempting to kill them’.
Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to declare that the woman driving the car was ‘a professional agitator’ who ‘violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer’ before the agent acted in self defense.
DHS said she ‘weaponized her vehicle’ and called her actions an ‘act of domestic terrorism,’ the statement said.
Democrat Mayor Jacob Frey blasted ICE’s characterization of the shooting and told them to ‘get the f**k out of Minneapolis.’
‘They are already trying to spin this as an act of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I wanna tell everybody directly, that is bull****.’
Walz prepared to deploy National Guard
Governor Tim Walz said he has warned the Minnesota Natural Guard to prepare for deployment to Minneapolis.
‘We have soldiers in training and prepared to be deployed if necessary,’ he said.
‘They are teachers in your community, they’re business owners, they’re construction professionals, they are Minnesotans.
‘Minnesota will not allow our community to be used as a prop in a national political fight. We will not take the bait.’
Videos capture moment woman shot dead by ICE agents
The final moments of a 37-year-old woman who was shot dead by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer have been immortalized through bloodcurdling videos shot from several angles.
The woman, who is yet to be identified, was gunned down after she allegedly drove her car at agents amid Donald Trump’s latest immigration crackdown in Minneapolis.

Senator Amy Klobuchar says she is concerned about conflicting reports on shooting
Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar said Homeland Security’s account of the deadly ICE shooing in Minneapolis conflicts with on-the-ground reporting.
‘This tragedy is the result of the administration sending federal agents onto our streets against the wishes of local law enforcement, including our respected Police Chief Brian O’Hara,’ she wrote on X.
‘We need full transparency and an investigation of what happened, and I am deeply concerned that statements made by DHS do not appear to reflect video evidence and on-the-ground accounts.
‘While our immigration enforcement should be focused on apprehending and prosecuting violent criminals to make our communities safer, these ICE actions are doing the opposite and making our state less safe.’
Walz blasts Trump administration: ‘Do you have no decency?’
Governor Tim Walz claimed the Trump administration wants to create chaos after a woman was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
‘Do you have no decency? We have someone dead, in their car, for no reason whatsoever,’ he said.
Walz called on people to protest peacefully and claimed the Trump administration wants to create a chaotic scene in Minneapolis.
‘And now we hear more political rhetoric? Enough is enough. Minnesotans, don’t take the bait,’ he said.
‘Do not allow them to invoke the Insurrection Act, do not allow them to declare martial law.
‘I encourage you to use your First Amendment rights, but do so in a peaceful manner.’
Protesters have started to gather at the scene where Homeland Security said the woman was shot and killed by ICE agents after she ‘weaponized her vehicle’ and called her actions an ‘act of domestic terrorism.’

‘This is an open investigation,’ he said.

Donald Trump claims ICE agent shot woman in self defense
Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that he watched the video of the Minneapolis ICE shooting.
‘The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,’ he wrote.
‘Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital.’
The president seemed to blame ‘radical left’ rhetoric for the shooting.
‘The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis,’ he wrote.
‘They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!’
ICE protestors were seen setting fire to the American flag close to the scene of where a woman, 37, was shot and killed by an ICE agent in her car on Wednesday.
Protestors were reportedly shouting profanities about ICE and to ICE agents according to reporters on the scene.
