With the excitement of Christmas and New Year now out of the way, many may be finding themselves in need of a little pick-me-up. And as if answering our prayers, Boots has delivered a brand new mood-boosting beauty box to give shoppers a ‘little lift’ to beat the January Blues.
Released on Friday, the Boots Beauty Little Lifts Beauty Box is priced at €50, but boasts an impressive total set worth of £200.98. That means customers effectively get almost £160-worth of skincare, haircare and wellness products for free.
The brand is just one on the high street offering boxes of treats perfect for a skincare refresh even before January payday. The curated sets allow shoppers to try a range of products for a fraction of their usual prices.
At Marks and Spencer, there’s The Unwind Edit which is packed full of nine bath and body, skincare, haircare and sleep essentials for a much-needed pamper. Priced at €40, it includes a selection of self-care treats from favourite brands such as Estee Lauder, Bloom & Blossom, Emma Hardie, NEOM, and more, which would total over £140 when sold separately according to the retailer.
But back at Boots, the Beauty Little Lifts Beauty Box feels like a lovely way to start 2026 feeling pampered and refreshed. The set balances its cost and contents extremely well, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to ease into the new year with a focus on self-care.
Inside, shoppers can find 13 products from big names like No7, Liz Earle, First Aid Beauty, ARKIVE and Laura Mercier , with seven of them being full-sized. As part of the deal, each item averages at just under €4 and considering some items are worth more than €40 alone, it’s easy to see how quickly the value racks up.
The No7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi Action Night Cream is among the highlights, with a value of €42.99. It’s rich without feeling heavy, and contains the brand’s next-generation age defying complex, Matrixyl 3000+, which works to target the appearance of wrinkles.
While the No7 moisturiser is perhaps better suited to skin more mature than my own, the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Rescue Barrier Balm is a winter skincare hero that anyone can use. Worth €32, it’s ideal for use in the winter months when the cold temperatures outside and the warm air inside cause what This Morning skincare expert Nadine Baggott has coined ‘central heating face’.
Made with soothing Colloidal Oatmeal, it’s actually recommended for those whose skin has become dry as a result of prescription-strength acne and retinoid treatments. For me, it’s the definition of a skincare saviour, with First Aid Beauty being a brand I regularly go to when my skin is in need of rescuing. Though not featured in the box, their KP Bump Eraser is brilliant at keeping ‘strawberry skin’ at bay, so I’ve no doubt this cream will become a staple in my kit.
For body care lovers, the Champneys Bubble Heaven Bubble Bath is generous in size and very relaxing, while the NEOM Perfect Night’s Sleep Magnesium Body Butter is perfect for winding down in the evening. The set is quite body lotion heavy, however, with the box also starring a Liz Earle Energise and Glow Body Lotion 200ml and mini Laura Mercier Neroli du Sud Serum Body Cream.
There’s also a nice balance of everyday staples and more luxe treats. The Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Firmeza Oil and Drunk Elephant A-Shaba Eye Cream may be smaller, but they still feel special and provide an opportunity to try some higher-end skincare.
Haircare hasn’t been forgotten, either. The ARKIVE Crown Scalp Scrub is a product I’ve tried previously and love the inclusion of menthol which leaves the scalp refreshed. I am, however, less likely to use the FUL Gloss And Shine Cream, since I don’t like to add many styling products to my fine hair, as it often leaves it looking greasy.
With the HABI Hair & Body Mist shoppers will receive either Amber Bloom or Velvet Daze. Having smelled them in store, I know that both are lovely, though this is one area where the box may feel slightly hit-or-miss depending on personal preference. The same goes for the Liz Earle products, because while I received the body lotion, some boxes contain a Liz Earle Skin Repair Rich Cream 50ml, which I may have preferred.
Another minor negative is that a few products are on the smaller side, meaning you may fall in love with them just as they run out. That said, this is fairly standard for beauty boxes and does allow for a wider variety of products overall.
