Local business and sporting leaders shared their expertise with attendees at the Made in Donegal Summit & Showcase yesterday.
A large crowd attended the summit at the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny, to hear from a range of local leaders and also to experience some of the best local produce at the Craft & Food Market Showcase.
The day’s discussions were led by MC and Host, commentator and communications expert Seán Perry.
During the day’s first panel discussion – Leaders in Business: Learn From Their Rise to the Top – attendees heard from Mulrines Chairman, Peter Mulrine, fashion industry expert Andrea Shaw, Magee 1866 CEO Rosy Temple, and Ride Today Co-Founder and CEO Sean Flood.
The second panel of the day focused on some of Donegal’s brightest sporting stars, who are also making their impact in the world of business.
Panelists included former Donegal senior footballer Patrick McBrearty, who is the Managing Director of construction staffing firm Talcon Group; former professional boxer and current boxing manager and promoter Jason Quigley; and Caitriona Jennings, a former Olympian and current 100-mile record holder who is the current VP of Aircraft Trading at ACG, a Chartered Accountant and Tax Adviser.
Prominent hotelier and broadcaster Noel Cunningham was also on hand to help promote some of Donegal’s finest local producers at the food showcase.
