Loreto Secondary School, Letterkenny was filled with celebration on Friday 7th November as students, past students, staff and families gathered for the school’s annual Awards Ceremony.
As the evening’s celebrations began, there was a palpable sense of joy in all that had been accomplished- a true testament to the vibrant spirit of Loreto Letterkenny.
The event celebrated excellence across academics, leadership and creativity as well as the exceptional commitment students have shown to every aspect of school life.
Special recognition was given to students who have represented Loreto Letterkenny in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including sport, music, debating, and science competitions.
In keeping with the spirit of the Loreto tradition, the evening was not only a celebration of results, but also of the values, discipline, and determination that have guided students along their paths to success.
Addressing the audience, Ms Mc Hugh (Principal), spoke of the pride felt in each student being recognised.
“Your achievements are a reflection of your hard work, your courage to aim high, and your belief in your own potential” the audience was told.
The night ended with smiles, applause and a reminder that success at Loreto Letterkenny is not just about what students achieve but also about the joy of learning.
With the Awards Ceremony over, preparations are underway for the school’s Open Evening. Loreto Letterkenny looks forward to welcoming sixth class students and their families to their Open Evening on Thursday 13th November from 4.15 p.m.- 6.45 p.m.
