An Emmerdale star has suggested a potential prison storyline looms for three key characters.
Dominic Brunt, who portrays Paddy Dingle, has revealed his character fears imprisonment alongside two others following their connection to a fatal incident. Viewers are aware that Paddy’s father, Bear Wolf, recently caused the accidental death of villain Ray Walters after Ray – who had previously exploited Bear through modern slavery – attempted to kill both Paddy and teenager Dylan Penders.
Following Ray’s death, the trio attempted to conceal what happened, keeping Bear’s involvement hidden until he ultimately came clean. Whilst Paddy has fought to protect himself and Dylan from prosecution, arguing Bear acted in self-defence, everything unravels in upcoming scenes when Bear becomes flustered during another police questioning session, reports the Mirror.
Having already admitted to the accidental killing, Bear makes the decision to falsely claim he murdered Ray intentionally, hoping to shield Paddy and Dylan from discovery. However, Dominic indicates Bear’s latest decision triggers further complications, with the outlook appearing increasingly bleak.

He explained: “Paddy thinks they’re all going to prison now, and that’s the end of the line. After everything they’ve done, he thinks they’re all doomed. It’s about telling the truth now after months of lying so there’s got to be repercussions of that.”
Dominic explained that Paddy fears what Bear might reveal next, particularly whether he could inadvertently expose Paddy and Dylan’s connection to the murder. He said: “He’s worried about that but he’s more worried about what they’re doing to his dad.
“He knows he was already suffering with depression and that’s what led to him leaving the house. I think he’s worried that the pressure of this is too much for him and h’es going to say something that he’s not supposed to say, and not the rehearsed line.”
With DS Walsh now convinced Paddy assisted his father, the recent development involving Bear prompts both Paddy and Dylan to consider coming clean about what truly occurred.

Dominic revealed: “Paddy’s been questioned by Walsh, and he knows she’s absolutely cracking. She’s on it completely. If there’s a way, she’ll find it, she’s brilliant.”
However, Paddy wants Dylan kept out of trouble, suggesting he may take the blame himself to prevent the teenager from confessing.
He added: “He thinks about what it will do to his life if he goes to prison. What chance does he have for the rest of his life? Even getting a job. It’s not the best start in life so he’s beside himself about that and blames himself.”
Dominic acknowledged that Paddy would struggle behind bars as well. He commented: “I don’t think he would do very well at all, I don’t think he’s the sort of person that would go in and become the daddy of B Wing. He can’t defend himself, he’s weak and he would be exploited.”

He also believes that Paddy would struggle to forgive himself if Bear ends up in prison.
He explained: “He’s trying to makeup for lost time with Bear and he feels guilty for the whole situation, so he’s trying to be a father figure for Dylan and for Bear.
“He thinks he’s failing consistently and worryingly, making things worse. He means well and he’s trying to do his best but the decisions he makes are terrible. Paddy would not forgive himself for a long time, he’d blame himself.”
