The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2025
Runners will be gathering in Leeds this May ahead of the Rob Burrow Marathon 2026.
In December 2019, former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and soon after, alongside his family and friends, he campaigned to raise money to support other families living with the condition. In 2024, he sadly died, but his work has lived on.
The Rob Burrow Marathon has taken place since 2023, attracting more than 10,000 runners to Leeds. This year’s event will raise money for the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal and the MND Association.
Participants can also raise money for a charity of their choice. Here is everything you need to know about the Rob Burrow Marathon 2026.
Dates and times
The Rob Burrow Marathon 2026 will take place on Sunday, May 10, with a start at 9am, at the AMT Headingley Rugby Stadium. Runners will start in wave based on their estimated finish time, which is indicated by the colour of each racer’s number.
People with a blue number start at 9am, red start at 9.04am, green and yellow start at 9.10am, the MND Wave start at 9.19am, and purple start at 9.21am.
Travel tips
If you want to get to the Rob Burrow Marathon, then park and ride is your best bet if you’re coming in by car. These services must be booked in advance, and some shuttle buses will also be available for spectators.
Services available are the:
City Centre Shuttle BusStourton Park and RideElland Road Park and RideShuttle buses to cheer points in Otley and Adel
The city centre bus is a return service from Cookridge Street to Beechwood Crescent, with the first service leaving at 6.45am, and the final service leaving Beechwood Crescent at 5pm. The service will run regularly through the day.
As for the Stourton Park and Ride, this will also arrive at Beechwood Crescent. The first bus is at 6.45am, with the last at 5pm.
The Elland Road Park and Ride will go to Beechwood Crescent, and will have its first bus leave at 6.45am, with its last at 5pm.

How to take part
If you want to take part in the Rob Burrow Marathon 2026, then you can sign up via their website here. You must be over the age of 18, and you can participate in separate ways.
General Entry participants can pay extra to receive a finisher’s t-shirt as well as a medal, and members of the UK Athletics Club pay less.
