Janette Manrara has shared an emotional “end of an era” update with her husband Aljaz Skorjanec. Aljaz and Janette recently wrapped up their UK tour called “Let’s Face the Music and Dance”.

The couple performed in a variety of venues up and down the country, accompanied by a live band. The tour finished off in Sheffield on May 6, and Janette has shared a post to mark the end of their experience together, as she is unsure of the next time they will dance together on stage.

Janette met her husband back in 2010. They first crossed paths while working at a studio in London and performed in the show “Burn the Floor” together. The dancers tied the knot in 2017 after seven years together.

Janette and Aljaz often share aspects of their life together away from showbiz. They have one child, daughter Lyra who turns three in July this year.

To mark the end of their most recent tour, Janette shared a post with her followers on Instagram. The dancer explained she was feeling “all the emotions” because she doesn’t know when she will dance with her partner again.

She shared some behind the scenes snaps from the last few months, accompanied with the caption: “Last day of the tour and feeling so many emotions.

“I have loved every moment on stage with our cast and band, and sharing the love of dance and entertainment I have with everyone that came along to watch.

“@aljazskorjanec and I have been doing this together for a long while, but we don’t know when we’ll be on stage like this together again, so tonight will be a VERY special end of an era.

“THANK YOU for coming, for supporting us all these years, and for being the best audiences we could have ever dreamed of. It’s never ‘goodbye’, but instead ‘until the next time’. In the mean time, “there is always time for one…. more… DANCE!”

Taking to the comments, one fan said: “Have loved coming along to support you on many tours over the years, so sad this is the end of an era but cannot wait to see what’s next for both of you.”

A second wrote: “So proud of you and Aljaz my Queen you two smashed the tour like always, all the best in the future.”

Meanwhile, it has recently been confirmed that Aljaz will be returning to the ballroom later this year as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing.

In a new announcement made on May 6, the BBC confirmed the line-up for 2026.

Returning to the programme later this year are Dianne Buswell, Julian Caillon, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Jowita Przystał, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Alexis Warr, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley and Vito Coppola.

Strictly’s judging panel will remain unchanged. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas will give their expert opinions on performances each week before delivering scores to performers.

But the question surrounding who will present the programme remains unanswered. Those rumoured to be up for the role include Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark, Bradley Walsh, Emma Willis as well as It Takes Two presenters Fleur East, and of course Janette Manrara.

Janette recently appeared on BBC Breakfast to talk about the future of Strictly. She said: “We’re very, very lucky. The show has given us this beautiful platform to be able to go off and do the tours that we do, and we don’t take it for granted, and in my opinion, and I think Aljaz will agree, it’s the best entertainment show on telly.

“I’m just so happy that it’s been a part of our lives for so many years. I mean, we were just dating when we started the show, and during the show, we got married, we became parents. It’s just been phenomenal.”

Asked whether she will be in a new presenting role for this year’s series, Janette said: “I don’t know, we’ll have to wait and find out. I think everyone at the moment is a bit on standby, so we’ll see what happens.”
